I was so thrilled this holiday season, when the nanny of a boy in Charlie’s class asked me to photograph the kids as a gift to the parents. I was so touched and flattered! The middle brother is on the autism spectrum and I love these opportunities! I love the chance to give the parents what I know I want… I want the tangible reminders to hold onto of those eluding moments, those moments of pure joy that only those closest to these kiddos get to experience. I want to capture those precious moments of shared joy and emotional attachment that we crave so much. I wanted so badly to give that to these parents and their nanny! I have to admit, I was so nervous that I wouldn’t be able to capture that, that I procrastinated looking at my memory card for a week!! But then I did! And man, was I happy!! I loved these kids. The eldest was the perfect big brother, he knew just how to take interest in what his younger brother loved, and he was so sweet and loving to his little sister. And of course, 3-month-old, baby Bailey. She was the center of attention to both her doting big brothers. What a beautiful family!
