We all tend to have ideas of the perfect family photo at holiday time… maybe a mom and dad, 2 kids, a boy and a girl, and a big fluffy, photogenic dog sitting nicely, and all perfectly behaved and coiffed, of course. Ok, some of that is a lot to ask, on any given day! But for some of us, that image of the family photo has changed. I get cards with 2 moms or 2 dads. I get a ton of cards with family members of all colors, and I get one or two with a single mom or dad; although I have to admit, as a single parent, coordinating photos while managing single-parenthood is close to impossible! Or maybe, for me, it’s just like my mother reminds me, “The shoemaker’s child never has shoes!” (Think of the equivalent in this case, my son has great shoes of course!)
So here is a great example of what will be a beautiful and touching holiday card, a gorgeous single mom and her adorable boy. She’s the incredibly talented author that I’ve shown other photos of, too.
