Hi Everyone! I guess for my first post, I should introduce myself. I’m Kristina, mom to a beautiful little boy, Charlie. He’s my little muse. But really this hobby-turned-obsession started so long ago when I was a small child and I got my first camera for Christmas. It was a Vivitar 110. I started snapping everything, and then I saved up some of my first money and bought my second camera at age nine, a Canon Snappy. Well, many years after that I started modeling, it seems so long ago now. But I had a great time, and so grew my fascination with photography. I worked with some amazing photographers, Walter Iooss, who’s known as THE photographer for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and Troy Plota, who does those beautiful Izod campaigns. I loved watching them work, and knew all along that I belonged behind the camera. So here I am! Now my true joy is catching those beautiful moments in children, babies, all people really, the candid ones, where a sparkle is in their eyes as they get excited, or the laughter is bubbling out of them. It’s the best thing in the world to me!
Here was a little fun on New Year’s Day this year. I was at my friends’ house, a few of us had been up for New Year’s Eve the night before, but all of the kids were wide awake and happy to play in the backyard. So in our sweats, sunglasses on, us adults trodded out to some loungechairs with our coffee. Me with my camera of course.
