I shoot mainly two things, portraiture and weddings. Their are so many similarities, and the huge thing that ties them together for me is, I’m capturing life’s moments. There is one difference that stands out between portraiture and an event, weddings and parties, I always capture the details and that includes the biggest detail to the bride: her dress. She LOVES her dress!
I still peek at mine occasionally, open up the bag, usually hidden in the back of the closet, feel the heavy silk. Still, LOVE, it! So take a moment, and make it the center of attention. This happened to be the bay window in the bedroom, as it hung waiting for it’s moment, the most beautiful light provided backlight. The same goes for shoes. Everyone knows, most girls have a whole relationship with their shoes. So again, put them on their own pedestal, chances are this is their one big day!
